The company was started in 1898 by Thomas Barwiss Hagstoz, a former partner in America's famous Keystone Watch Case Company. Then, it was primarily a refining business where all kinds of scrap metal were purified, cleaned and prepared for jewelry production.

Today, we're still a family concern which sells an even wider range of precious metals and findings to jewelers, craftsmen and hobbyists in addition to teachers and students in schools and colleges across the U.S.A. and other countries.
